Penalties for Non-Payment

Permissible penalties for non-payment of delinquent accounts may include:

  • Late fee: A late fee may be assessed for each 30-day period following each may be assessed for each 30-day period following each payment due notification.
  • 60 days delinquent: termination or denial of participation in extra-curricular activities or tuition-based programs (e.g., SACC, full-day kindergarten, instrumental music) while any student of the family is enrolled in this District.
  • 90 days delinquent: After 90 days, with the approval of the SC, the district reserves the right to submit the unpaid balance to a collection agency.
  • End of School Year: the indefinite withholding of report cards of all students of the family until payment is made.
  • Families will not be eligible to enroll in any extra-curricular activities or tuition-based programs in following years until the balance due has been resolved or a payment plan developed.

No student shall be disciplined for late or non-payment of incurred costs.

Any fee or charge due to any school in the District and not paid at the end of the school year will be carried forward to the next succeeding school year, as such debts are considered to be debts of the student to the District and not to a particular school.
